1. I've had several adapters prior to this one which have worked better and been less of a hassle. Even with a d-link router the speeds on this adapter are consistently dismal compared to others I have had despite my knowledge of network setup. The nano before this was better--until it broke into pieces in my laptop bag. Probably,I will not purchase any more d-link adapters after this.
2. This has worked great for more than a year. Greatly improved my speed over what my laptop originally came with ten years ago.
3. Works perfectly on my girlfriend's laptop. Since the it was only capable of B&G this seemed a good upgrade to bring her up to speed. Set up wasn't as easy as plug and play though. While the software detected our network, it kept timing out and wouldn't connect. I had to disable the option to let Windows configure the wireless settings and then it jumped on. No problems after that and it also picked up without issue each time after wakeup. There's a small blue LED that indicates activity which is nice touch. Initial bandwidth test was 15Mbps down and 1 up, not bad for a USB adapter; test was in the evening.
